Phone Booth Quiz – Where in the World?

In the days before mobile phones, if you wanted to make a call when you were away from home you would typically use a public phone booth.

The traditional British red telephone kiosk, designed by Giles Gilbert Scott and first introduced in 1924 as the K2, is recognised as a cultural icon. However, most countries around the world have developed their own unique phone booth designs.

The Paperclip phone booth quiz challenges you to identify the country in which the following eight distinct phone booths were photographed. To make it slightly easier, we are giving you the eight countries and simply asking you to match the correct country with the relevant phone booth.

The eight countries, in no particular order, are:

  • Russia
  • Brazil
  • Sweden
  • South Africa
  • Japan
  • Australia
  • Germany
  • Turkey

The answers are given at the end of the quiz.

Phone Booth B

Phone Booth C

Phone Booth D

Phone Booth E

Phone Booth F

Phone Booth G

Phone Booth H
